SPARE TIME IN POLAND

We are students who would like to achieve the greatest success in the field of science, but we are also teenagers who want to have fun. In Poland teenagers have a lot of possibilities of spending their spare time. During the week we take part in different after-school clubs which are organized by our teachers. Thanks to them we can develop our interests in various fields. There is a choir in our school and whenever there is an important event  “the choir students” present themselves. Students who love music and singing are delighted with the classes. During each performance they wear special distinctive red gowns.

However, it is not everything! Every athlete can find classes for themselves, too. There are different extra classes in various fields of sports. Our school can be proud of our volleyball teams which achieve considerable success every year. They owe their success to hard, long workouts and, of course, their excellent coach.

However, it is not only the school that offers some entertainment in our free time. In our town there are several places which let us have some fun. One of them is our local cinema. We get a new repertoire of really interesting movies every week. There are also two swimming pools in Brzozów. In summer, when it is really hot and the temperature is very high we go to the outdoor swimming pool. It is a large pool with one slide and two beach volleyball and tennis courts. When the temperature is not so high and it is too cold to swim outside, we go to the indoor swimming pool. There are lots of teenagers as well as adults who take care of their bodies with great passion. We also have some professional gyms, so as you can see, our city is full of sports facilities. There are also pubs, restaurants and other places where we can get together, laugh and talk. Sometimes we just go to the park to get some fresh air and work out in the outdoor gym.

From time to time, our town organizes some outdoor parties, too. It is a great opportunity to dance and simply have fun with friends. However, not everyone likes parties. Those teenagers who are not really sociable often spend their free time sitting at home and watching TV, reading their favourite books,  playing computer games or surfing the Net. Others spend their time actively - cycling, running or going for a walk with a dog.
These are the ways teenagers in Poland spend their time when they do not learn. And how do young people in Denmark organize their leisure time? We will be happy to read about your favourite free time activities.
